Reserve by way of syrah is a reductive, intensely white peppery and surely ambitious approach to grape and place. Coming from the warm St. David’s Bench sub-appellation and while the alcohol (at 13.2 percent) is anything but elevated there is a swarthy sense of both intensity and concentration that can’t be missed. Lots of wood to be sure in thick drops of vanilla and then a toasty spice permeating every pore. Grand example with medium tannins and one
that should age quite well though some furtheri ntegration will serve to stretch out the fruit. Drink 2024-2028. Tasted April 2023.
